Bodywork for Nervous System Regulation in Vienna

Nervous system regulation through somatic bodywork in Vienna is slow, consent-led, full-body work that gives an over-alert nervous system the conditions to settle. At Sacred Touch it is held for women only, by a male practitioner, in English or German, in 90 to 150 minute sessions in a private studio in Vienna's 13th district. It is not therapy or medical care, and not a sexual service.

A nervous system that learned to stay alert

You know the state. The body that cannot quite land, even when nothing is wrong. Sleep that does not fully restore. A readiness that never switches off.

This is not a flaw. It is what an intelligent nervous system does when it has learned, somewhere along the way, that staying alert is safer than softening. It will not let go of that simply because the setting is calm and the intention is good. It lets go when it has enough evidence that alertness is no longer required.

How bodywork supports the nervous system

Relaxation is not a function of willpower. It is a function of safety signal.

A steady presence, clear pacing, and unhurried touch create a specific kind of input the nervous system recognises. Not as an idea. In the body. When it recognises it, something held under long effort can begin to release. This is not a promise of outcome. It is a description of the direction the work moves in.

What happens in a session

Before any touch, there is a conversation, over tea, without hurry. When you are ready, you move to the table, professionally draped throughout. The touch is slow and follows your body, not a timer. Around midway, the jaw tends to release. After the jaw, the breath begins to reach the belly. Not before. After. You can read how the work unfolds in full.

Sacred Touch is not a replacement for psychotherapy or medical care. If your nervous system is not yet stable and you are processing recent trauma without support, this is not the right first step.

Who comes for this

Some women arrive after a long season of holding everything, with the body depleted in a way rest alone does not repair. If safety is the first thing you need to know about, start with a safe, consent-led space.

Frequently Asked Questions

Somatic bodywork can support nervous-system regulation by providing the conditions a body needs to move from alertness toward settling: a safe, consent-led space, steady presence, and unhurried touch the nervous system recognises as non-threatening. It is not a treatment or a cure, and results are not promised. It describes a direction, not an outcome.

No. Sacred Touch is somatic bodywork, not psychotherapy or medical care, and it does not replace either. Thomas is a somatic practitioner, not a therapist or doctor. If you are in an acute mental health crisis or processing recent trauma without therapeutic support, this is not the right first step.

No. It is not a sexual service in any form. The work is professionally draped throughout and held in service of the nervous system settling. The scope is clear and does not change between sessions.
