Safety is the slowest thing to build and the easiest to interrupt. The body does not take your word for it. It watches. It gathers evidence. It decides on its own schedule, and it is right to.
This is why the work moves at the pace it does. Every choice in the room, the warmth, the boundaries spoken aloud, the unhurried hands, is addressed to a nervous system that has learned, somewhere, not to trust quickly.
You may speak. You may pause. You may redirect. You may stop. None of it costs you anything.
When those four sentences are not just permitted but genuinely held, something in the body that had been standing guard sits down. That is the whole of it. The rest follows from there.
